Theatre Education
Born in 1985, Playhouse on the Square’s Theatre for Youth Program now serves close to 30,000 young people every year in Memphis, Shelby County and beyond. From preschoolers to young adults, they all are engaged and enlightened, either as audience members or as active participants.
Summer Youth Theatre Conservatory
Playhouse on the Square's Summer Youth Theatre Conservatory is open to any student interested in theatre regardless of experience. All of the courses are taught by professional artists. After School Acting Program (ASAP)
Founded in 1998, the After School Acting Program has grown to include sites throughout Memphis and the surrounding area. ASAP is recommended for children age 7-12. Theatre School - Youth and Adult Classes
Theatre School provides classes in performance for children as well as adults. Taught by local theatre professionals, our classes give students the opportunity to expand their performance skills in acting, music, and dance.
