Winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Once is an enchanting tale of a Dublin street musician who’s about to give up on his dream when a beautiful young woman takes a sudden interest in his haunting love songs. As the chemistry between them grows, his music soars to powerful new heights and their unlikely connection turns out to be deeper and more complex than your everyday romance.



WHEN: Saturday, August 12th at 1pm, with Callbacks on Saturday August 26th at 11am.

CASTING:  We are seeking highly skilled actor/musician/singers to comprise the lead/supporting cast of Once: The Musical.

6-7 Men (18-60 years old) who play guitar or mandolin. Other instruments that are extremely useful: bass guitar, cello, piano, violin, ukulele, banjo & drum kit, but strong guitar playing is a requirement. Must also be a strong actor/singer.

3-4 Women (18-35 years old) who play the piano or ONE of the following three: violin/viola/cello. Other instruments that are extremely useful: accordion, fiddle, guitar, mandolin. Must also be a strong actor/singer.

1 Woman (40+) who plays the accordion and piano. Must also be a strong actor/singer.

WHAT TO PREPARE:  A short folk/rock song in the style of the show. If you are interested in a specific role, please sing a song from the show. All actors MUST sing & accompany themselves on one of the instruments specified below. There will be a piano in the audition room. Actors must bring any other instrument(s) they play. The role of Guy has been cast.  All other roles are available.

Once begins rehearsals on December 5, 2017.  The show runs January 19 – February 11, 2018.
